 Many times when you see your face in mirror you wish to change the color of your eyes but at the next moment you think its impossible. But now a days in this world nothing is impossible. Yes, Now you can change the color of your eyes according to the color of your dress. Generally a cosmetic contact lens is mainly used for this purpose (as its name suggests), these lenses are designed in such a way that can change the appearance of the eyes. These lenses also do the vision correctness of the eye, but there may be some problem can be generated in vision as the color or design of the image. In USA the FDA(Food And Drug Administration ) calls these lenses as decorative contact lenses or non-corrective contact lenses. At the time when you put the lens onto your eyes you may feel a mild irritation, but as your eyes will be habitual of these, then it will cause no harm to your eyes. But wearing cosmetic lenses too much may cause the power of eye and the vision degradation.
A type of cosmetic lenses is Theatrical contact lens, these type of lens were used to used in the entertainment industry to change the appearance of the movie scenes to the confusing and arousing mostly for the horror and the zombie movies, where the appearances of many scene has to be look horrible demonic, cloudy and lifeless. And it can also change the pupil’s appearances under some illicit drugs. One more type of cosmetic lens is the Scleral lenses.
The white part of the eye is covered with this sclera lens, and in many theatrical lenses this type of lens is used. These lenses are difficult to insert and their movement is also not very good in the eye because the size of these lenses is not good. These lenses can not be wore more than three hours cause of their size and they also create the temporary vision problem because lens has the very small area to see across it. Some of the lenses also have medical applications and problems like, iris given to an enlarged appearance and some defects like, iris’s damage or absence. In Japan and Korea n new type of cosmetic lenses are used named as the Circle contact lens. In these type of lenses are tinted rominently in the whole ring of the iris of eye, instead of tinting the area covered by the iris of eye. As the result of the above changes made in lens design the appearance of the object is bigger and wide iris is gained.
Although, by watching the current time many of the contact lens brands have tinted to make use to handle the contact lenses easy, the wearing of the contact lens are less. As a survey made in the year 2004 only 3% of the people likes to wear the contact lenses, the reason behind this may be the cost of the contact lens which does not suits to everyone’s pocket.
